Thomson-Reuters Director Doubles Down On Lending Club

Peter J. Thomson, Chairman of Thomvest and member of Thomson Reuters’ board of directors, announced a cornerstone investment in the broad-based consumer credit fund offered by Lending Club, an online peer-to-peer lending website. The investment is the second such investment Thomson’s Thomvest Ventures has made with Lending club and comes nearly a year after the company invested in Lending Club’s more conservative fund. Thomvest also holds an equity stake in Lending Club.
